This bird list put out by the Virgins Islands National Park Service (U.S.) is a great collection. It's a PRINTABLE pdf file, so enjoy !

Avibase maintains "Bird Checklists of the World." This link will take you to their list for the British Virgin Islands, which claims to include all bird species (171) found in British Virgin Islands.

This BVI commemorative stamp collection is a beautiful tribute to birds of the Virgin Islands - a great ID resource in itself. I have provided this primarily for the bird pictures, but stamp collectors should try the links at the bottom of the page, below the stamp display.

Rick Falkenberg, a naturalist author and photographer has a FANTASTIC series of bird photographs. Rick also does day sail/snorkeling trips, including offering nature and history tours out of Cinnamon Bay, St. John, aboard his sailing yacht, "Tevake", a 37' classic Alberg yawl.

Any bird-watcher should consider viewing the flamingos of Anegada. If you get to this remote island, any of the local taxi guys will take you to the magic spots. The link to the left will give an overview with some other informative links on the subject.

"A Guide to the Birds of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands" by Herbert Raffaele, is certainly one of the definitive resources on birding in this region. Click the book to see the details at Amazon.com.

"Caribbean Birds - A Pocket Traveller Guide" This reference guide is a wonderful resource for beginners and experts alike. It illustrates and describes nearly 150 birds for clear identification, including water birds, near shore birds, parrots, perching birds, birds of prey, and more.

This 8 1/2" high guide unfolds to 22", and conveniently back to 4" wide, for easy pocket storage. It is heavily laminated for durability and protection against the elements.
At $5.95, it should be part of every island visitor's collection.

This is for sale on my "Sales Page," along with fish guides, Cruising Guides, snorkeling references, and many other items for the BVI traveller.
